COMPETITION RULES « JEWISH COOKING IN HERITAGE »

EUROPEAN DAY OF JEWISH CULTURE 2005

 

 

1). Object.

 

On the occasion of the 6th edition of the European Day of Jewish Culture which will take place on Sunday 4th of September 2005 and whose topic will be « Jewish Cooking in Heritage », a Jewish recipe’s competition will be organised by B’nai B’rith Europe, the European Council of Jewish Communities and Red de Juderias de España.

 

2). Participation requirements.

 

The competition is opened to amateur cooks only.

It will take place on the website www.jewisheritage.org.

The participants must enter their recipes by filling out the entry form which is available on the website.

Deadline for entries will be on Sunday 4th of September 2005 at midnight.

 

Recipes’ criteria:

Only one recipe per participant will be accepted.

Recipe must be :

  1. typically Jewish (kosher style), speciality of the participant’s country
  2. written in local language+translation into French or English
  3. accompanied with a photo of the final dish and a photo of the participant (optional)
  4. traditional family recipe

 

3). Voting and deliberation.

 

Recipes will be submitted to a panel of judges which will be composed of three members (each Judge will be designed by one of the European partners, B’nai B’rith Europe, the European Council of Jewish Communities and Red de Juderias de España).

The panel of judges will vote and choose the top recipes after consultation of the recipes on the website.

The best recipes will be designed at the end of the consultation process.

 

4). Results.

 

The results will be published during the week which follows the closing of the competition under the heading « Jewish Recipes’ competition » of the website www.jewisheritage.org

The best recipes will be announced on the website.

The winners will be informed by email.

 

5). Prize.

 

The best recipes will be published on the website.

 

6). General requirements.

 

The competition is opened to all person of 18 years old and more whatever his/her place of residence, whose real surnames, first names and email addresses must be registered on the registration form.

 

All participants consent by their participation in the competition, to have their names related to the recipe which will be published on the website www.jewisheritage.org

 

The organisers of the competition, the European partners, reserve the right to eliminate plagiarized, not coherent or not complete recipes or which do not constitute Jewish cooking.

 

The recipes are not the property of the participants. The European partners reserve the right to use the recipes for commercial aims.

 

 

The European partners shall accept no liability if the registration form can not be transmit due to an electronic problem.

 

The European partners shall accept no liability regarding all plagiarized recipe from any support (books, magazines, websites…). The inclusion of such recipes is the sole liability of the participant who has included it.

 

By entering the competition, every participant accepts these official rules which can be modified without individually giving notice to the participants, on condition that this advice is displayed on the website www.jewisheritage.org
